Growing up is a Wild Ride!
As a tween, teen or young adult, or the parent of one, it can sometimes feel like you are riding an emotional rollercoaster! One minute you might feel good or hopeful about how things are going in life. The next minute, you might feel scared, worried, sad and unsure.
You are not alone! Growing up comes with a lot of unexpected twists and turns, so it is no wonder that many young people and their caretakers find themselves struggling from time to time. No matter where you are on the rollercoaster of being a young person (or caring for one), therapy can help!

Therapy is a place where we can explore who we are and who we want to be, without fear of judgment or expectations. It allows us to gain a deeper understanding of our thoughts, feelings and behaviors, and to learn skills that can help us feel better and support us in reaching our full potential.

At Bright Mind, we believe that therapy can be one of the BEST things that we can do for ourselves and our loved ones, especially during the super important and transformative years of adolescence and young adulthood!

At Bright Mind, we use child development, brain science, evidence-based strategies and a holistic approach to deliver specialized mental health care for tweens, teens and young adults (and the people who care for them as well).
Let's Work Together!
Welcome! My name is Donna Sayler. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and the founder of Bright Mind Counseling. I have worked with kids and families for over 17 years. I have experience as a therapist, a school social worker and a case manager. I specialize in working with tweens, teens and young adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, friendship or relationship difficulties, identity issues, difficulties in school, perfectionism, or feelings of stress and overwhelm. I love working with neurodiverse populations such as those with ADHD, autism and other learning differences. I also enjoy working with older teens and young adults who are trying to find their footing as they get ready to step out into the world on their own.

Considering therapy for yourself or your loved one can feel like a big decision. The thought of talking with a stranger about our thoughts, feelings, hopes and fears can be a scary thing for most of us. I hope to offer you a place that feels safe, supportive and helpful.

To learn more about my approach, the evidence-based practices that I use, and to find out if we might be a good fit, please reach out to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. I look forward to meeting you!

Benefits of Paying for Therapy Out-of-Pocket
-
Since your therapy is not paid for by an insurance company, you do not need to have to have a formal diagnosis.
-
The number and length of your therapy sessions is determined by you and your therapist, not by an insurance company.
-
Paying for therapy out-of-pocket helps protect your privacy, as your personal mental health information does not need to be shared with your insurance company.
